BOBONARO Municipality

CBET sites in the Western Zone encompass the four municipalities of  Bobonaro, Ermera, Manufahi, and Oe-cusse (it also know as an Special Economic Zone).

Bobonaro Municipality

Maliana is the capital of Bobonaro, which is located in the western part of the country. And also, it borders with Indonesia to the west. During the Portuguese occupation its capital was called Vila Armindo Monteiro. Bobonaro has numerous tourist attractions to offer including the recently-renovated Marobo hot springs, Be Male Lake, Bobonaro Fortress, the Balibo Five Monument, etc.

Most of the CBET enterprises are currently operating in the area of food and beverage services (restaurants). These CBET enterprises are located along the main road from Atabae to Batugade. However, some lodges are now being developed, especially in Maliana.
